Lowiher, MacDougald perform

Performing at the Woodsmoke Cafe on Main Street in Sperryville Friday night will be Chet Lowther playing original folk songs. On Saturday night the Woodsmoke stage welcomes folk and pop performer Rob MacDougald. Both singers have entertained audiences in Sperryville in the past.

The music starts at 8:30 p.m., the regular menu is available, and there's a $2 cover charge. Call 987-9427 for more information.

'City Slickers' at The Theatre

The Sunday night RAAC movie at The Theatre at Washington, Va. will be "City Slickers," rated PG-13, at 7:30 p.m.

Billy Crystal, Daniel Stern, Bruno Kirby and Jack Palance star in this comedy where businessmen turn into cowboys trying to recapture their lost youth on a two-week cattle drive. Not since "Blazing Saddles" has the Wild West been the scene of such unbridled hilarity.
