We are sorry to hear about the fire that destroyed the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Jenkins on Monday. It was very frightening for this writer because I wa§ talking with Mrs. Campbell when all at once she said Oh and down went the phone, I just held on thinking she would be back and then I heard in the background this cracking sound and then a smoke detector sounded off, I still held on hoping to hear from Mrs.
Campbell but on my scanner I heard that the Campbell’s house was fully involved in fire, so I hung up and called the Sheriff’s Office to let them know that Mr. and Mrs. .Campbell were home and that she was a diabetic. I was afraid that they might be overcome with smoke and no one would know they were there. Thank God they got out ok but it’s a pity they lost everything. I am sure they
