The following recipe for ciderbasted grilled chicken is from the American Cancer Society. Sweet apple cider and pungent garlic combine to give |his low-fat entree a memorable taste. We tried it this past weekend on the grill and liked it. Cider-basted grilled chicken 1 cup apple cider 1 lemon, juice of 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 oz. low-sodium soy sauce 1/2 garlic clove, pared, minced 1/4 cup oil Dash Worcestershire sauce 2 Tbsp. parsley stems, chopped 1 Bay leaf 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. peppercorns 6 boneless chicken breasts, skin off Combine first 11 ingredients and mix well. Add chicken to marinade; marinate overnight. Remove chicken, pat with a paper towel. Place breasts in shallow baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until chicken is done. Or grill chicken on charcoal or gas grill until done, basting occasionally with marinate. Serves 6.
