The Wakefield Country Day School girls volleyball team took only four games to beat Massanutten Military Academy Oct. 11, 15-5, 1315, 15-11 and 15-2.

In the final and deciding game of the best-of-five series played at Home, Wakefield’s Caroline Brandt scored 14-straight service points before giving up the serve. Detra Funk served the game- and match-winning point for Wakefield.

The match started with Wakefield winning comfortably behind five service points for Elizabeth Nugent and five for Funk. After a lapse ih the second game, Wakefield took the third behind five more service points for Funk and five for Mary Pat Hickson.
