The fun festival begins at 7 p.m. in the same room with rides on school grounds.
Beginning the evening with costume judging of various sorts children can parade their ugliest, scariest, prettiest, most original, best, worst and other costumes for prizes of various description.
“Children can bring their own carved pumpkins for judging,” said PTO representative Joan Platt.
Carved pumpkins are judged on various criteria. There is no carving on school grounds.
Besides the Halloween items such as a haunted house, the I*TO has planned various games for children participation, rides provided by Front Royal Rides and various refreshment.
There is no charge for admission to the event but rides and games require tickets, starting at 25 cents.
Refreshments such as baked goods, cider, juices and coffee are available for various prices, starting at 25 cents.
“Halloween pictures will be taken,” said Ms. Platt, adding children can take their Polaroid shots home for $2.
