Bereavement group
A bereavement support group sponsored by the Hospice of the Rapidan, Inc. will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. beginning Tuesday, Oct. 22. There will be eight weekly sessions. For more information call 703825-4840.
Business Council to meet

Bowen reunion
Relatives, descendants and friends of William A. Bowen Sr. and Joseph William Bowen are invited to a family reunion beginning at 12 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish and beverage.
Halloween festival
A Halloween fun festival sponsored by the Rappahannock Elementary PTO will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25. There will be games, refreshments, costume and pumpkin decorating contests. Rainforest group to meet
The Rappahannock Rainforest Action Group will meet on Thursdays through the month of November. The meetings will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Windflower Gallery. The presentation for Thursday, Oct. 17 will be a film entitled “Earth First.” The meeting is open to the public and anyone interested in protecting the rainforests are urged to attend. Tennis tournament
Rappahannock Park Authority will sponsor a mixed doubles tennis tournament Oct. 25-27 at the park. There will be a $10 entry fee per team. For more information and to sign-up call Jean Lillard at 6753670.
Spaghetti dinner
An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17 at Rappahannock High School. Prices are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Spaghetti, salad, dessert and a beverage will be served. Proceeds will benefit the Senior class trip. Tickets will be available at the door.
