RAAC hosts arts forum
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community (RAAC) invites representatives from county organizations to an informal networking session at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Rappahannock Library at Washington, Va.
Organizations are encouraged to list their upcoming events on RAAC's new community calendar by sending postcards with the time, date and location of the events to: RAAC, P.O. Box 24, Washington, Va. 22747.

Student sculpture exhibited
The African-inspired sculpture, "We Are One Tribe," created by students now in the 7th grade at Rappahannock Elementary, will be on display in the Williamsburg Hilton during the Virginia Art Educators' Conference, Oct. 17-19.
Also on display will be poems and prose by teacher jon Heddleston's senior English classes at Rappahannock High.
Washington, Va. artist Laurie Marshall, who oversaw creation of the sculpture while teaching at Rappahannock Elementary as an artist-in-residence, will attend the Williamsburg conference.
