Conferees are encouraged to bring resourse materials they have found to be particularly innovative, interesting or effective. A display will be made of those books, projects and other materials.
The conference ends at 12:30 p.m., said Ms. Marshall, but those attending will be welcome to stay and continue informal discussion. The Rappahannock Elementary PTO will provide refreshments.
“Each of the different settings,” said Ms. Marshall, including smaller, homogenous private schools and large, diverse public classes, “generate unique ideas. By systematically sharing those ideas and exchanging information an idea that emerges from a very different situation may have use for another situation.”
Participants are welcome to come and listen in, without taking an active role in the discussion, said Ms. Marshall, but those who desire to make a formal presentation are also welcome.
Those attending should bring note-taking materials.
Ms. Marshall said if participants so desire the conference may become a regular happening.
