Sen. Miller said the VEA endorsement resulted from his support of the state’s right-to-work laws and his opposition to collective bargaining for state employees.
He said the “philosophical stance of the two candidates is of great importance. . . .My opponent has not really come out with any positions on any issues. I have eight years in the Senate with an established record.”
He cited as examples his stand on gun control—the senator voted against the instant-check law but now supports it. “It’s worked out* well,” he said. •
