Along with aother RSvP members, Mrs. Gentry drives seniors to and from a mental health clinic in Washington, Va., and hospitals in Warrenton and Front Royal. The transportation program was started by the Rappahannock Retired Teacher’s Association.
Mrs. Gentry, who was Flint Hill’s postmaster for 21 years starting in 1953, taught in an elementary school for eight years before that.
Once a month, she attends a meeting of the Community Services Board’s five-county RSVP Advisory Council, a group of RSVP members from whom staffers seek input on baord activities. Mrs. Gentry is the council’s secretary., . ,v
