HUNTLY — About 100 people attended Back-to-School Night at Wakefield Country Day School at Huntly recently. The event was chaired by retiring Parents’ Association president Michael Foster of White Post.
Jule Konick of Washington, Va., was elected president of the Parents’ Association for 1992-93 at the Sept. 29 program. Other Parents’ Association officers elected by acclamation were Sarah Kravitz of Warrenton, vice president; Kathy Nilan of Warrenton, secretary, and Frederick Hart of Hume, treasurer.
The new officers announced plans for a 20th anniversary celebration involving alumni and friends of the school.
David Konick was honored for his service on the interim board of Wakefield Country Day School Inc. and his legal representation on behalf of the board of the school during recently-settled litigation.
At the Parents’ Association meeting, WCDS board chairman Bill Beeton of Markham praised Konick’s
91.7%
