Haunted house in Amissville
The Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) will hold a haunted house on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30 and 31 at the Digges bam in Amissville, follow signs from U.S. 211. Activities beginning at 6 p.m. will include the haunted house $2.50; haunted hay ride $1, hot dogs, hot chocolate and cider. CCWHY workshop
Community Coalition Working for Healthy Youth will sponsor a workshop, “Teenage Pregnancy Prevention,” from 7:30-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at the Washington fire hall. This workshop will be presented by Joyce Brown of the Rappahannock High School guidance department and Marion Sharp, Rappahannock public health nurse. CCWHY teen dance
Rappahannock teenagers attending Rappahannock High School are invited to a halloween dance at the Washington fire hall from 8 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31. Admission is $2 per person. CPR class at Amissville
The Rappahannoek-Rapidan Emergency Medical Service (RREMS) will be offering a CPR class from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22 at the Amissville fire department. Cost is $10. To pre-register call the RREMS office at 825-6849. j
Haunted hayrides
The Child Care and Learning Center will be sponsoring haunted hayrides and bonfire from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at Mountain Green Farm in Washington. Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 25.
The evening will include a costume contest, pinata bashing, hot dog and marshmallow roast, cider and a bake sale. Advance tickets are $4 adults, $2 children over 1. At the gate $6 for adults and $3 for children. Spooky and non-spooky ride options are available. Come out for a wonderful family evening. Call 675-3237 for more information.
Bingo at Castleton
Castleton Volunteer Fire Department will be holding bingo on Saturday, Oct. 24 at the fire hall. A $1,000 jackpot will be offered. Early bird begins at 7 p.m., regular bingo at 7:30 p.m. For more information call 937-6051 or 937-5292.

The Washington Baptist Church will be having a bake sale beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17. All donations will be greatly appreciated. The sale will be in front of the Washington Post Office.
