Library series continues
Want to hear something really scary? Then come to Rappahannock Library at 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6 for an evening of local ghost stories. A presentation of the Library’s . Barn dance, bonfire
An old fashion barn dance, sponsored by the Rappahannock Ath- . letic Association, will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Digges Farm in Amissville. The band Heavy Dreamer will perform. There will also be a bonfire, door prizes, buffet and set-ups. Cost is $25 per couple, $15 singles, you must be 21 to attend. Tickets will be sold at the gate. Bowen family reunion
Relatives, descendants and friends of the late William A. Bowen Sr. and Joseph William Bowen will hold their reunion beginning at 12 noon on Sunday, Oct. 18 at the Rappahannock Park near Washington. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish and beverage.
Artists to meet
An artists’ support group will have their first meeting at Middle Street Gallery in Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22. “The only requirement for membership is a desire to fulfill your creativity,” said an organizer. For more information call 987-3129.
