For the percentage in their 30s, Rappahannock was in the middle with a greater percentage than Madison and Orange but a lower percentage than Fauquier or Culpeper.

However, Rappahannock has a higher percentage of its population in their 40s and 60s: 27.1 percent, compared to 21.9 percent for Culpeper, 24.7 percent for Fauquier, 23.7 percent for Madison and 23.2 percent for Orange.

For those in their 60s, Rappahannock’s percentage is greater than Culpeper and Fauquier, but lower than Madison and Page, and for those 70 or more years old, Rappahannock has a higher percentage than Fauquier but lower than the other three counties in the planning district. These statistics may reflect, in part, the fact that the county has no nursing home.
