is positive
To the Editor:
Like many of the people I have talked with about the Presidential election campaign, I have been turned off by both the negatives and the promises that have spouted so freely from the mouths of both major party candidates and their supporters. We need not make our choice on Nov. 3 solely because of whom or what we’re against (nor protest with a Perot vote). Considering performances rather than promises, I am persuaded by three positives to vote for Bill Clinton:
1. His election would put an end to divided government. In recent years we have had a President and a Congress blaming each other for inaction, each trying to make political points rather than facing up to the country’s problems.
2. In Arkansas, Clinton showed that he could work with a legislature to get things done.
3. Clinton has shown a genuine, and strong desire to bring people gether. f
