It's Elementary
School hosts club
The Rappahannock Extension Homemakers Club toured the Elementary School on Tuesday as part of National Homemakers Week. The purpose of the tour was to learn about classes and programs at RCES, including the computerized math lab, the RJR Nabisco “Next Century Schools” grant, as well as regular classes in K-7.
Parents were invited to participate in National School Lunch Week by dining with their children in the cafeteria this week.
The Fall Flea Market held last Saturday sponsored by the PTO was a huge success. Many thanks to the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League for donating baked goods.
On Oct. 3, eight parents participated in the Playground Cleanup. Peter Kreyling is working on a new design for the playground. Jonathen Deardorff is helping him as Building and Playground Repair Chairman. Another cleanup will be held in the Spring, and building will hopefully begin in the. Spring or Summer.
