So, you guessed it! I finally needed a name and the only name I knew was the “basement.” I asked this kid, Rueben, where the basement was and he took me downstairs to the play room.
I will never forget Loma pointing at me and saying over and over again, “Walter wet his pants!” I had hoped to go unnoticed, but I guess when you’re using the same slide as everyone else you are sure to get caught.
Moral of the story? Tell little kids the real name of where he has to go to keep from getting the slide wet.
Well, I finally got that off my mind.
It looks like I’ve used up my space and the time before delivery to the new editor. The pallbearer story will have to wait. Next week I hope to talk fairly about the candidates.
I was sorry to see the last editor leave. She was a very pleasant and talented woman.
