Gov. L. Douglas Wilder has designated Oct. 11-17 as Extension Homemakers Week in Virginia. It will be celebrated with a variety of community service and educational programs throughout the state.
The Virginia Extension Homemakers Council, founded in 1923, is an organization of volunteers dedicated to strengthening individuals, families and communities through education and leadership.
