I had decided to finally write about my most embarrassing moment but I sure have a lot of thoughts about the candidates’ debate. Briefly: little, big eared, squeaky voiced H. Ross put the others back on course. They had to go from calling each other failures to think about answers.
People are still saying that he dropped out and they don’t know who he is. So we will have a couple of more of these engagements; maybe the percentage will change?
Last week I misspelled Glasgow twice. That’s what I get for not sticking to facts. We were closer to Sterling, but Glasgow had a better ring to it. Sorry, teacher.
Embarrassed really means shame and guilt. If I can remember 10 things before I was 11 years old, nine of them are involved in shame and guilt. I have never figured out how big people can do that to a little tiny kid.
Sometimes I think they do it by talking to you, sometimes to somebody else, and then sometimes by not talking about it at all. By this same process these big guidance persons can get a little tiny kid to lie and keep secrets.
Examples are, “Why did you do that, aren’t you ashamed?”, or “He/she is such a sweet child except for those dirty little habits.”
