Rappahannock Athletic Associa'tion (RAA) will sponsor a bam dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Digges farm. The band ■Heavy Dreamer will perform. * Included will be a bonfire, door . prizes, buffet and set-ups. Cost is ’.$25 per couple; $15 singles. You must be 21. Tickets will be sold at the gate. Amissville United Methodist apple butter boiling is also this Saturday, Oct. 17. Apples will be peeled on Friday starting at 9 a.m. The process will actually begin at 2 a.m. on Saturday when they’re placed in copper kettles. The public is invited to stop by and watch or help. Lunch will be served, including hot soup, chili, chicken and dumplings, hot dogs, sandwiches, homemade cakes and pies, and drinks.
