A book lover who ei\joys steering others toward reading material, Mrs. Gentry puts in four hours a week as a volunteer at the Rappahannock County Library.
She assists Rappahannock operations of the nationwide SHARE program, which distributes food cutrate to people who do community , service.
She also sings in the choir at Flint Hill’s United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for 55 years. She is in the Rappahannock County Homemakers Club, whose members make craft items sold to provide money for college scholarships. When Flint Hill’s volunteer fire department holds fundraising carnivals, Mrs. Gentry is there cooking hot dogs.
