Sunday, Oct. 11 was Scout Day at The Flying Circus in Bealeton. Two troops from the Rappahannock Area Girl Scouts with the Virginia Skyline Girl Scout Council attended and enjoyed the airshow immensely.
Jr. Girl Scout Troop 547 with Sarah Brown and Edie Clark leaders and girls Amanda Brown, Haley Clark, Summer Alexander, Kate May, Emily Crabtree, Cara Levick, Amanda Clark, Emily Bare, Amanda Sims, Erin Platt and friend Lindsey and Bobbie Jo Brown of the Brownie Troop. Accompanying the troop were Steve and Karen Alexander and daughter Kori, Andy Platt, Linda Clark and Alice Beahm.
Ginger Estes and Kathy Smoot also accompanied their Brownie Troop along with their daughters Jessica and Crystal. Kate May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Winston May was the lucky recipient of the Free Piper Airplane ride.
Saturday night dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown, Amanda and Bobbie Jo were James Beatty and son Robbie of Point O’Woods, Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Simmons. Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark were evening visitors.
Friday night Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Simmons, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Brown, Amanda and Bobbie Jo, Lori Breining and Richie Eastham were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Falls, Samantha and Robert in Woodville for birthday cake and ice cream to celebrate Tim’s birthday.
Saturday callers of Mr. and Mrs. Edward M. Clark were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gill of Warrenton and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Frazier and Mrs. Ollie Vann of Castleton were Sunday visitors.
The Washington Baptist Church is having a bake sale beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday in front of the Washington Post Office to benefit repairs on the church. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
Mr. and Mrs. Page Moffett and family of Leesburg spent Sunday and Monday with Mr. and Mrs. William F. Moffett II and Melanie and Mrs. Jean B. Moffett.
Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Weakley camped at Jess Rocks summer place of Mrs. Jesse Curtis of Occonquon in Fort Valley from Thursday until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Shepherd of Fairview Beach also camped with them. The group spent Friday and Saturday sightseeing and on Sunday they attended The Heritage Festival in Luray.
