Robert Lee Taylor, 66, of Haywood, died August 7, at his residence surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was bom November 16, 1938 in Page County to the late Cecil Lester and Tilda Mae Taylor.
Mr. Taylor enjoyed the outdoors and the pleasures that it provided. Robert would play the guitar, mandolin and the dobro, yet ultimately had the most joy just spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joan Hazel Taylor, his three children; Kathryn Mae Smith and her husband Kevin of Chatham, Va., Frances Lynn Henshaw and her husband George of Haywood, Virginia and Brenda Lee Dennisand her husband Bobby of Castleton, Four grandchildren; Joshua Lee Nichols, Jessica Mae Nichols, Bridgett Dawn Horrocks and Jade Alivia Dennis. Additional survivors include three sisters; Geneva Jenkins, Frances Taylor tod Betty White and five brothers; Reubin, Roger, Charles, Pete and Richard Taylor, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family friends and close loved ones.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by five brothers; Alfred, Ronald, James, Wilis and Cecil Taylor, Jr.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 10, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels of Culpeper, with Rev. Charles Clinedinst officiating. Interment was followed at Etlan Cemetery.
