What to do about it? A few years ago “thru trucks” were banned on Rt. 17 between Warrenton and Marshall due to the number of accidents and danger they posed. While it would be nice to ban motorcycles from the county that don't carry a Rappahannock County sticker it's not possible.
However, why not make it very difficult on the idiots that are hell bent on tearing up, down and around our peaceful county.
Make Thornton Gap “thru motorcycles only” meaning once they get to Luray they can’t come back over their “track”.
Impose “no thru motorcycles except residents” on all of the other twisty roads the fools like to race on.
It’s perfectly legal and 100 percent justifiable! Our first responders have moi e important issues to deal with other then scraping some foo’ off the road.
