the DLI and adopted in the budget process to date have resulted in a slight expansion in budget costs. These improvements were all justified. After all, our mission is to provide schools that are “second to none” for our children.
Note: Our Tfeachers at experience steps 0-25 are among the least well paid in our area. I will propose that any savings we achieve through cost cutting measures be plowed into increasing employee salaries and fringe benefits.
This next item does not necessarily reduce costs, but has the potential to increase revenue from non-local sources. We will continue to consider requests for admission of tuitionstudents who live in other counties. Tuition currently is over $7,100 per non resident student. There were four last year. We anticipate at least six for 2005
