The .Department of Housing and Community Development is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer in our Northern Regional State Fire Marshal's Office It conduct detailed fire safety and building code inspections of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings (new construction and renovations) to determine conformity with applicable codes, standards, and certifications of occupancies. Responsibilities include providing a thorough review of building design packages, plans and specifications, shop drawings, and test reports for code compliance: interpreting, crossreferencing. and researching multiple codes requirements of building construction according to the requirements mandated for the year in which the building was constructed; and providing building and fire code related technical and administrative assistance to building and fire officials and other clients.
