Fly-By-Night

Located in Flint Hill right on Rt. 522, Fly-By-Night Books offers customers nature and animal themed collectibles,crafts,and photographs as well as a sizable collection of used books.

The three-roomed store has the feel of a long cortridor with books, pictures and knick-knacks covering every surface. Fly-By-Night has a warm and cozy informal atmosphere, and among the shelves are chairs for customers to use and a sleeping dog named Maicah for them to pet.

“It's Navaho for wolf," explained Pam Owen, who owns both the store and the dog. Owen started the store -in September of 2003 because she liked books and nature and wanted to sell to people with similar interests. Fly-By-Night is focused on used and collectible books about nature and local interest subjects. However, Owen keeps a wide selection and along with the Peterson bird guides and classic Civil War history texts
