At the close of his talk, this Rappahannock Tarazed. Baraza told a story with perhaps a more direct message than his others: “My father was Islamic, my mother Christian, which meant catholic.. Grandpa fought on the side of the British in World War One, went to Burma, came back in 1919 and converted to Islam My grandfather came home and met Christians. They hated him. wanted to convert him, but he refused. Grandfather was the slaughter man, because all meat must be killed by a moslem.

On Fridays I used to follow grandfather to the mosque. I would skip school and follow him around as he worked, then go to the mosque, there was such singing. One day we were on our way and I saw my father, he didn't know I skipped school every Friday, and I tried to hide, standing behind my grandfather as he walked, but he was too skinny, it was useless. Oh my father punished me. I never went aeain. But I never forent
