Principals, the RCPS Finance Department, other school employees, the School Board and I managed the FY04 and FY05 budgets in a responsible manner, including obtaining competitive quotes for most major purchases. This resulted in returning $71,000 (FY04) and $214,000 (FY05) in unspent tax dollars to the county at the end of the two years. We take pride in the fact that we have been responsible stewards of the tax dollars the Board of Supervisors entrusted to us to spend for the education of Rappahannock Children.
