Fall Girls’ Softball
Piedmont Softball Association has scheduled registration dates for its exciting fall season of programs open to all area girls ages 5 years old and up (girls bom anytime from 1986 through 2000). Girls may sign up Saturdays, August 13 and August 20, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, at Bill Payne Auction Gallery, Rt. 211, Amissville. All skill levels are welcome. Annual Carnival
Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual parade and carnival starting on Wednesday, August 10 through Saturday, August 13. Lots of games, rides and food for all ages.
Thursday, August 11: The grand parade starting at 7 p.m., carnival rides and games.
Friday, August 12: Bluegrass music by Brian Taylor and Anthony Clinedinst, also chicken dinners by the Sperryville Fire Department Auxiliary.
Saturday, August 13: Crowning of the Queen and Little Mister Fire Chief, also the grand prize drawing $1000. Come out and support the Fire Department.
