At tne supervisors meeung I had been asked to explore whether an alternative construction process to build the new Auxiliary Gym would be less expensive than the $1.2 million dollars the School Board voted to approve for Lantz Construction to construct the gym. A county official notified me later that week that the alternative process he investigated would cost about the same as the amount we had already agreed to spend on the gym. As a result, County officials told me they did not feel the suggested meeting of representatives of the two boards was necessary.
