Medical Records Technician
Eastern Loudoun Mental Health Center
Position with Loudoun County Mental Health and Substance Abuse Service in Sterling, will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of client medical records, ensuring compliance w ith State. Federal, Medicaid/Medicare and HIPAA regulations. Requires working knowledge of computerized data management systems, a proficiency in data entry, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. This position will be responsible for processing requests for the release of information according to Department policy and procedures. Other duties include providing front window customer service, responding to inquiries both in person and by telephone, receipting payment for services, coordinating client intake process and creating service tickets. Additionally, the ability to multitask in a busy medical office environment and a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service to clients seeking mental health and substance abuse services is required. Some evening coverage is required. Ability to speak Spanish helpful. Minimum Requirements are high school diploma or equivalent and at least four years of related experience. Courses in job related field or certification specific to Medical Records preferred. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal background check and TB test.
