The Inn at Little Washington held its annual summer picnic out at the Marriott Ranch in Hume this Tuesday. It’s the sixth year the bash has been held at the ranch, but the tradition of the party goes way back in the annals of' Inn history.
Thrown by owners Patrick O’Connell and Reinhardt Lynch for their staff, the picnic is mostly just a fun event, an easy chance for people to take their families out to a summer picnic. But, it is also more than that. * All busy restaurants are very high stress and high energy work places. With its rarefied reputation, and unforgiving commitment to maintaining the highest standards, the Inn is all the more so. During the day-to -day workweek, everyone’s energy is devoted to getting the job done, and time for chitchat and getting to know one another is limited.
