06. Each non-resident tuitionpaying student enrolled results in over $9,000 in additional revenues including the tuition payment and State per/pupil funding. If we ensure that admission of tuition students doesn’t result in the need to hire more personnel, the increase in tuition funding may supplement local contributions to public education.
In a mutter related to saving taxpayer dollars, it should also be noted that in the days following the August 1 Board of Supervisors’ meeting I suggested to county officials that we hold a meeting with representatives from the School Board and Board of Supervisors present to discuss the cost of the new Auxiliary Gym and alternatives suggested by County officials to reduce costs.
