I continue to believe if you are working on a difficult problem, you sometimes have to be creative, or, as they say, think outside the box. And, I don’t mean putting the speed limit down to 5 MPH, so it takes three hours to get to Luray.
Most of the deputies’ vehicles have radar. Use it. Blanket the twisty roads with radar for a few weekends. Pay some overtime. Shift some days off. Be as visible as possible. And, not being a lawyer, I’m free to make all kinds of suggestions, some of which may not fit within the bounds of legality, but, is there such a thing as vehicular reckless endangerment?
