relief efforts; and recognized the Wakefield participants in the recent Johns Hopkins Talent Search. John Morgan Christoph, William Mullany, Christine Pankow, and Timothy Pressler all took the SATs as sixth and seventh grade students, with John Morgan doing so well that he is receiving state recognition and will take a course in robotics this summer through Johns Hopkins.

Seniors rewarded for their hard work

On Thursday,' April 27th, Mrs. Grove and her husband Larry treated the senior class to a performance at the Kennedy Center. Also accompanied by their college advisor Marsha Dowell, the students saw the matinee performance of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales by the Royal Shakespeare Theater, stopping for lunch along the way.

Also on the 27th, two seniors from Flint Hill, Dorian Matthews and Allison Russo, were honored at the Winchester/Frederick Regional Chamber Youth Leadership Recognition Luncheon. The event is held annually with the theme,
