I mean it was just St. Patrick’s Day the other week wasn’t it? Fm sorry for the long hiatus but between the church play, the fire house, work and as you men know all to well, my wife’s “would that look nice in our yard,” Fve been just a little short on time. You know it’s a shame when you look forward to going to work just to get a break! Happenings with the
Fire Department
Well what have we missed, where to begin. Let’s see, there was the Fire Department’s beauty pageant won by Ms. Kayla Jenkins, a lovely young lady who now unfortunately resides in Winchester instead of down this way. And a big thank you is in order to Nora Sealock and Mary Williams without whose help the fire department could never have managed the pageant.
A big thank you is also in order to Mrs. Lindsey Wines and Mrs. Janie Phillips who orchestrated the whole event. Janie, as you may recall, was very ill during some of the time leading up to the Pageant but even from her bed made phone calls and kept things going on track. As a token of the Fire Department’s esteem and in honor of her service Janie was presented with a royal scepter for all of her time, hard work,
