Taylor

From Page A1

Baader were philosophical about not being appointed, and both believe Taylor will do a good job. Rifaat, a farmer and 20-year-resident of the Piedmont District, believes 'that Taylor was selected “based on [the supervisors] comfort level with him, based on their perception of his ability to represent the Piedmont District.”

Rifaat has said that she remains unsure about running against Taylor in the November special election. Baader, a Director of Inventory Control for Plow and Hearth and the daughter of the late Chairman Estes, is more definite about her future plans.

“I am going to run, and I think I would do a great job for Piedmont District,” declared Baader. “I didn’t do this on a whim.”
