The Rappahannock Lions Club celebrated its 48th anniversary on Thursday evening with a dinner meeting at the Washington Fire Hall. The annual affair that brings together Lions and their spouses-is referred to as “Charter Night” and recognizes the date when the Club was originally chartered as a Club in the Lions International organization. For the Rappahannock Club, this date is March 19, 1958. Lion R. E. Wood was the president of the charter organization.
