James L. Hackley

Farmer

James Louis Hackley, 78, of Amissville, died on February 16, at his residence.

He was born October 17, 1927 in Rappahannock County to the late George Wallace and Bertha Hackley.

A lifelong farmer Louis retired after several years of service from the Fauquier County School Board. He was a member of Battle Run Primitive Baptist Church.

Mr. Hackley was preceded in death by his brothers G. Russell Hackley and Edward R. Hackley.

He is survived by a sister, Alice H. Hitt of Amissville, a nephew and several nieces.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 8, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Amissville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Amissville, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amissville Vol. Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 147, Amissville, VA 20106.
