June 18: Gadino Cellars
On May 14 at 10:30 a.m. come for a walk in the vineyard with owners Bill and Aleta to see what’s happening to the vines in springtime. This is where fine wine begins, and we’ll tour the oldest vines, 2 & 3 year old youngsters, and the baby Nebiolo vines. If you’ve ever dreamed of having a few grape vines in the back yard, come and see what’s needed to plan your project. Fee: $6 Includes one hour tour and a glass of wine at the tasting room afterwards.

Day Breakfast
Treat mom to breakfast on Sunday, May 14, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Company. The cost for adults is $7 and for children $3.50. Food that will be served will be eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, French toast, fried apples, juice, tea and coffee.

Day Barrel Tasting
Moms and Merlot-S special Mother’s Day Barrel Tasting of our 2005 Merlot from the barrel FREE for all Moms. Other family members will be charged $2 for barrel samples and light finger foods in the barrel room. Chocolatier Marc Ast of The Frenchman’s Corner (www.frenchmancomer.com) will serving samples of his Belgian Neuhaus Chocolate. His chocolates will be for sale in our tasting on this day as well. (Bring a sweater as the room is chilly)
