Congratulations, Susannah McNear! Susannah is the second Rappahannock resident, male or female to win the overall category and the Eva Smith Memorial Award. In 2003, Monika Bracken won the overall and the Eva Smith Memorial award.
Of the 237 people who registered for the Fodderstack 10K, 198 checked in and picked up their numbers the morning of the race. 193 rained soaked runners/walkers actually crossed the finish line! A search party is out looking for the lost runners.
The youngest participant was 6-year-old Emma Fidler, a part-time Rappahannock resident. Emma finished the trek on Fodderstack in less than two hours. She was given a Tshirt and water bottle from On The Run Sports of Warrenton for her efforts.
The most senior participant is one who has run/walked the race every year - Lowell Owsley, 76, finishing fourth in his age category. Congratulations to both!
