Preservation efforts have been ongoing since the Foundation was set up by alumnus, the late E. Franklin Warner in the 1990s.
This effort was revived in 2004 by dedicated alumni and others with the plan to rehabilitate the building as the county’s Senior Citizen Center Plans also include a Heritage Center in the building to help educate the public about the history of the school.
