Town Race

It appears that there will be a circle of new faces—or maybe no faces at all— around the Washington Town Council table after elections this May. With the deadline for filing just two weeks away, only one incumbent has definitely announced his intention to run. Three of the current council members have definitely decided not to seek reelection and two, including Mayor Newbill Miller, have yet to make up their minds. The last seat on the council has been vacant since the death of Charlie Jenkins last summer.

Brad Fisher is the one announced candidate. The diverse assortment of mail which the postal service delivers to his door is proof that the incumbent Washington Town Treasurer weal’s many hats.
