Fence height will be between four feet and four-feet-eightinches at an angle of five to ten degrees. All fences will be easily visible to spectators on the hillside adjoining the course.
Two types of steeplechase fences will be installed at Great Meadow.
The first, called brush fences, are made of plastic and don’t require an exceptional jumper to clear them. This is the type of fence found at most American steeplechases. The second, called natural fences, the brush jumps commonly used in France, will come a little later and will be similar to the fences at Auteuil
