The problem of hunger in the world is a multi-faceted one icluding politics, economics and education just to name a few, according to Rev. Steven N. Scoggin, pastor of Washington Baptist Church. As a way of responding to this problem a “World Hunger Garden Project” is being organized for the summer.
Anyone interested in learning more about this community centered project is invited to an organizational meeting set for Thursday, February 23, 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Baptist Church. Those who cannot attend but are interested in participating should call Rev. Scoggin at 675-3833. This “project” is open to all ages.
R.C.Q.E. To Meet
The Rappahannock Citizens for Quality Education will be meeting on Monday, February 27, at 7:30 p.m. at the Child Care & Learning Center. Parents and citizens interested in public school education are encouraged to attend.
