Budget Report
A communication from the Rappahannock County Education Association regarding budget requests was postponed because the group has requested more time to prepare its report, Estabrook said.
His own budget report dealt with instructional expenditures for the current year. With the school year 58 percent completed as of the end of January, Estabrook said the budgeted amount for “other instructional” had been 84 percent depleted. The reason is that supplemental duty pay for teachers was separated from the teachers' salary account last year under state accounting guidelines and incorporated into “other instructional” which previously included only drivers education and homebound teachers.
