Rappahannock County School Board Chairman Beverly Massie kidded as, she adjourned last Thursday’s meeting at a comparatively early hour that when superintendent Robert Estabrook promised a light agenda, he was actually offering board members “ample opportunity to gear themselves up for March.” The first in a weekly series of sessions on the proposed 1984-85 school budget is set for March 6.
The open portion of the February session lasted from 7:30 until 8:35. Board • members then went into executive session until 9:57 after which they approved Edward Wines as a substitute bus driver and voted to ask their legal counsel to investigate the rate setting process for special education.

It was the first meeting for newly appointed School Board member Bill Oliver. He replaces Stonewall-Hawthome District representative Nelson Lane who resigned after his election to the Board of Supervisors.
