Sanger praising the progress of the music program at both schools in the county.
Sanger wrote RCHS principal Robert T. Chappell after a recent visit to Rappahannock. “The new band program is off to a good start and the choral and elementary music program show signs of excellent work,” Sanger said. “It is a pleasure to watch young teachers who are well trained and who have a fine working relationship with their pupils and with each other,” he added. Copies of the letter were sent to assistant superintendent Tom Campbell, RCES principal Maggie Piper, instrumental teacher Kathy Hewitt and choral teacher Judy Bomberger.
