(Continued from Page 11) the Board of Stewards’ decision to amend the rule increasing the limit by which a rider may be overweight from five to ten pounds. The board has also voted to eliminate the “lead to the post” fee ($15) at the hunt meetings.
The mandatory drug testing at all hunt meetings will remain in effect throughout the year in the same manner as it did last fall.
Four-time leading rider John Cushman underwent surgery on his knee in early February and will be absent for the first half of the year. Cushman suffered the knee injury after being thrown while exercising a young horse at the Camden, S. C., training center. The injury aggravated a knee problem that had plagued
